Summer is in full swing and we are loving luaus and fun summer colors. This paper parasol wreath is guaranteed to catch your guests eye and get the party started!
This crafting idea is almost as easy as it looks… and cheap, too! The whole project can be done for less than $10. Start with a foam craft wreath or a straw wreath. I used straw because it kept the umbrellas in place easily and didn’t require any glue. Next, place your umbrellas all over the wreath until it’s covered from every angle! Don’t get discouraged if a few umbrellas break in the process…
Step 1: Open all the cocktail umbrellas. This is the most tedious part of this project, but opening them ahead of time will keep you from losing your momentum once you start to place them in the wreath.
Step 2: Start sticking your umbrellas in the wreath. You may want to break some of the toothpicks in half to allow the height of each umbrella to vary.
Step 3: Before finishing, tie a string to your wreath to allow you to hang it from your door and continue to cover with umbrellas.
It’s just that easy and believe it or not, this wreath is even cuter in person than it looks online! Such a great way to kick your luau off at the door for under $10!
